Hi,This is Nanami!
We held "SETSUBUN" event on 3rd/Feb.
Do you know about Oni?
We held SETSUBUN event on 3rd /Feb.
Setsubun means "division of seasons" and this day was the end of winter, also the beggining of spring.
↑ They are making "恵方巻"EHOMAKI in this picture.
Ehomaki is a sushi roll that is believed to be good luck when eaten on Setsubun day.
When eating Ehomaki, look in the year's good luck direction(North north west in 2017) ,
and eat quietly while making a wish.
↑ They are "ONI".
To get rid of the oni, people scatter roasted soy beans both inside and outside of their houses.
The phrase "ONI WA SOTO!! FUKU WA UCHI!! (Good luck in! Deviles out!)," is said when throwing soybeans.
We had a great time with the guests.
Thank you very much for joining this event!!
See you next event!!
