Eel Day!?

Yesterday, I went to eat UNAJYU (Eel and rice in a BENTO box).
It was delicious!!
By the way, do you eat UNAGI(eel) in your country??
Do you like it?
In Japan, we eat UNAGI in this season.
We have the day for having UNAGI and it is called "土用の丑の日（DOYOU NO USHI NO HI）".
There are "DOYOU NO USHI NO HI" one day or two days a year.
We have it twice this year, July 21 and August 2.
Long time ago, one scholar advised a UNAGI shop which business was dull
"If we eat UNAGI on DOYOU NO USHI NO HI, we don't get sick in summer."
Then people started eating UNAGI and the UNAGI shop's business came to go well.
Also vitamin A and vitamin B are abundant to UNAGI, we can expect an effect of the prevention of appetite decline.
So even now, Japanese people eat UNAGI around the day.
Now we can find in UNAGI BENTO not only the eel shop but also a beef bowl shop and the convenience store!!
Why don't you try UNAGI during this season(^-^)??
I recommend the UNAGI shop "UNATOTO". The UNAJYU is 700yen!! (at this moment in 2011)
They have 12 branches in Tokyo, such as in Asakusa, Ueno and Shimbashi etc...!
