Every day, we put national flags of the countries where the guests come from.
Ms. Armi Henriksson ...
She is from Finland.
In the midnight, her T-shirt caught my eyes.
T-shirt with black cats and Japanese characters 'KONNICHIWA' 'SAYONARA' printed on the front.
She bought the cute T-shirt in Finland ... not in Japan.
When you think of black cats, what kind of image springs to mind?
I think of ...
A scary short story "The Black Cat" by Edgar Allan Poe that was first published in 1843.
Studio Ghibli's animated film "Kiki's Delivery Service"(Majo no Takkyūbin) that was released in 1989.
Kiki, a young witch, is accompanied by her black cat "Jiji"
Yamato Transport Co., Ltd. which is one of Japan's largest door-to-door delivery service companies.
It is also known as the "Kuro neko Yamato."
The company's logo is a yellow oval with a black mother cat carrying her kitten in her mouth.
By the way, this is one of my favorite mugs.
I heard that some countries and cultures have superstitions about black cats.
In some cultures black cats are considered to be good luck, and in others they are considered to be bad luck.
Which luck do you have in your country?
