Have you ever been to Cambodia?
I visited there two times. Normally people go to Cambodia to see Angkor Wat.
But my special memory in Cambodia isn’t sightseeing..
A few years ago,I visited one of orphanages in Siem Reap..

Director of this orphanage(left) and Tuktuk Driver(right) who took me there.

Before I went there,I worried a lot... 'How can I communicate with children..??'
So I tried to learn Cambodian a little to introduce myself to children.
But when I met children in orphanage, I didn’t need to speak a lot..

They smiled and welcomed me. We became friends straightaway.
I also tried to play instruments of Cambodia…

I didn’t know how to play at all…but children taught me and sang together!

Children knew English. Sometimes they talked to me in Cambodian.
I remember one Cambodian word which all of children told me a lot.. ‘Sonsa ’
I didn’t understand what it meant then, but afterward I found out what they said.
Children wanted to ask me… 'Do you have a boyfriend?'

Children must be lonely a lot, but they kept smiling with me.
Their smile was really pure and innocent..it made me happy!
After I met children in orphanage, I made up my mind..I'll always smile like them.

Last Wednesday morning, I was taken photos for our hotel website...
The photographer is....Mr. Hideki!

When he takes photos, he's completely a professional photographer, isn't he!?

His photo skill is amazing... I'm always impressed by his artistic photographs in his blog.
To my surprise,he has fabulous experiences!
He majored in Photojournalism at university in Minnesota.
After that, he lived in San Francisco for 2years, in Sydney for a year, Toronto for 2 and a half year, and Phuket of Thailand for one and a half year.
I guess his experience in oversea polished his sense of photography.
It was such an honor for me to be taken my photos by Hideki!

My photos will be up on our hotel website soon!
*The above 3 photos were taken by Sariko.
By the way, Hideki likes music as well
Hideki’s 10 favorite songs …
1. ‘Wonderful Tonight’ (Eric Clapton)
2. ‘The Scientist’ (COLDPLAY)
3. ‘Otherside’ (RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS)
4. ‘STAY (FARAWAY, SO CLOSE!)’ (U2)
5. ‘By Your Side’ (SADE)
6. ‘3 am’ (MATCHBOX TWENTY)
7. ‘MY DECEMBER’ (LINKIN PARK)
8. ‘This Love’ (Maroon 5)
9. ‘Why Does It Always Rain On me?’ (Travis)
10. ‘I Will Remember You’ (Sarah McLachlan)
And his favorite Japanese band is Mr.Children.
He especially likes ‘innocent world’ ‘HERO’ ‘Fastener’ ‘Forever’ among their songs.
Would you like to go out with him???
