Last night we had two events at Sakura Cafe, 'Free Japanese lesson' and 'Travelers Night'
We were so happy that a lot of people joined our event.

For Japanese Lesson, many foreigners came to study.

Photo5_o.jpg

Everyone enjoyed studying and talking together in Japanese.

Photo8_o.jpg

Photo6_o.jpg

I was impressed by the attitude of students. They were studying seriously.
I could know many foreigners are interested in learning Japanese and love Japan so much.
I'm so happy about that.

Photo4_o.jpg

After studying Japanese, we had Travelers Night!! The theme of last night is Italy!!!!!!!!!!!
Buongiorno(^▽^) Let's enjoy talking, drinking, eating!

Photo3_o.jpg

We served Italian wine, beer, cocktail, and Italian food!!

Photo2_o.jpg

I tried Italian Surfer and Italian Ice tea, Italian Surfer tastes pineapple. It has sweet and sour fragrance. I loved it but I drank quickly...

Hi Cheese!!!! Thank you so much for joining our party!

Photo1_o.jpg

We met some of 'Asakatsu' members. Every Sunday morning they gather at Sakura Cafe and enjoy Breakfast and talking together. I wish I could join Asakatsu...

Photo7_o.jpg

Our staff already drank...we also enjoyed this event.

Thank you everybody! Next event is FIESTA on 7 May!!

Attractive Odaiba!

Have you ever been to Odaiba? Odaiba is very nice place for sightseeing, dating, taking a walk...
Today I introduce some places.

I like 'Daiba 1cho-me Syotengai' at Decks shopping mall(4th floor).
They duplicates olden Japan.

CIMG0005.jpg

CIMG0022.jpg

Long time ago,Shinkansen was our dream..

CIMG0011.jpg

Next to Daiba 1cho-me Syotengai, there is Takoyaki Museum.
There are many Takoyaki shops and they make fusion Takoyaki, not normal Takoyaki.

CIMG0023.jpg

CIMG0025.jpg

I chose Italian Takoyaki!! I tried Mentaiko(seasoned cod roe) Takoyaki and Ponzu Takoyaki.
'Ponzu' looks like soy sauce but tastes sour. I prefer Ponzu Takoyaki.

CIMG0028.jpg

By the way, I found Takoyaki Ramune and Kimchi Ramune.

CIMG0078.jpg

I tried but I cannot comment anything about taste...
You should buy them just for fun, not for drink!

Are you interested in Onsen (Hot spring) ??? But Onsen is far from Tokyo…how can I go?
Don’t worry. You can enjoy Onsen at 'Oedo Onsen Monogatari' in Odaiba.

CIMG0059.jpg

If you have a dog, your dog also can enjoy Onsen at
'Tsunayoshi no Yu'

CIMG0062.jpg

Wow, it's cool!
Next time I will go to Onsen with my dog.

I would like to introduce you some dishes.

CIMG5137.jpg

Wow..there are a lot of superb foods...I wanna eat all.
Which food do you prefer???? I love octopus!

CIMG5138.jpg

Do you like Vietnamese food? I lived in Vietnam and always enjoyed Spring roll.
Spring roll is very fresh and healthy. Especially, Japanese women love this food.
I recommend you this 'Raw ham and cheddar cheese spring roll' Very tasty(^-^)

CIMG5140.jpg

Oh... I cannot forget this tempting menu..Shrimp!!!

CIMG5136.jpg

This is 'Shrimp fritters with spicy sauce'
You should try with beer.
If you wanna eat, come to Sakura cafe!!

Have you ever heard the name of ‘Sendai’?
Maybe you knew Sendai for the first time through the news of Tohoku-Kanto earthquake on 11th March.
Sendai is my hometown, where there are a lot of beautiful colonnade of zelkova.

Keyaki.jpg

I would like to let you know about Sendai Tanabata(the Star Festival), which is the famous festival in Japan.
Normally Tanabata is on 7th of July. But Sendai Tanabata is held on 6th-8th of August.
Many people from whole of country visit Sendai Tanabata every year.
The highlight of Sendai Tanabata is the colorful decoration, especially ‘Fukinagashi’(Please see the photos) is absolutely fascinating!!
I went to see Sendai Tanabata many times, I feel Fukinagashi is upgrading every year.
Before Tanabata, we write our wishes on Tanzaku, a piece of long square paper, and hang on the Sasa(bamboo leaf).

Tanabata.jpg

Next time I will introduce Sendai’s specialty, ‘Gyutan’ .
