Tokyo Sky Tree reached a height of 601 m on March 1, 2011, beating Canton Tower at 600 m (1,969 ft), becoming world's tallest self-standing tower.

Tokyo Sky Tree is the tallest structure on an island beating Taipei 101 and the second tallest structure in the world after the Burj Khalifa (a skyscraper in Dubai, United Arab Emirates at 828 m , (2,717 ft))
It measured 604 meters in height on March 3, 2011.
When completed, the tower will have a height of 634 meters (2,080 ft)

A predicted phenomenon?
You can see this Ukiyo-e (by Utagawa Kuniyoshi and it is considered that the ukiyo-e was made in 1831) at Kawasaki Isago no Sato Museum in Kawasaki, Kanagawa from March 7 to 26.
